I have recently started work on a new twin chamber
wood fired climbing kiln. The kiln shed is built and a large pile
of Chinese firebricks has been delivered but bad weather is holding
back the build. I'm following a design of American potter John Thies.

In the meantime, I've been throwing lots of pots
including some very big bottles. Some of these will be fired in
my old wood fired kiln which is nearing the end of its life and
some will go in the new kiln in the Spring. I'm looking forward
to the challenge of working with a new kiln and hoping to invite
you all to a kiln opening where you will be able to look around
the pottery and purchase pots straight from the kiln.
